Washer Extractors (SC models)

Hard mount washer extractors have rigid steel frames and are the standard in most on premise laundry rooms located on the ground floor.  These units are secured to concrete floors and represent the most cost effective option while maintaining a proven record of easy to use reliability with superior results.  Speed Queen delivers more than just clean results with the SC model line, which includes 20, 30, 40, 60, 80 and 125 lb. capacity units.  We understand the demands of the on-premise laundry include quality fabric care to extend linen life, efficient use of utilities and maximum productivity of staff.  Speed Queen designs equipment to meet these demands and that is why we use and stand behind their machines.

Speed Queen durability.  A solid frame, the "Gamma A-Frame" made from welded heavy steel is the base of stability and the beginning of more machine for your money.  Compare our frame that weighs 100 pounds or more to others that weigh as little as 45.5 pounds or even 33 pounds.  Our rugged cabinet resists corrosion from harsh laundry chemicals with high grade stainless steel panels and has continued to be refined over time for low to no maintenance, easy access to inside components and contributes to the overall reliability of the unit.  Oversized bearings and shaft confirm the purpose of this machine to be a dependable workhorse in any laundry room.

Wide door openings.  Doors on the SC washer are sized to help staff make short of the often time consuming tasks of loading and unloading.  The quicker your machines are unloaded the sooner they can be ready for the next cycle.  A new button-less door handle coupled with self aligning door lock mechanism make operation even easier.

Simple chemical dispensing.  A self-cleaning, multi-compartment dispenser provides for manual or automatic chemical injection.  Readily accessible electrical connections at the back of the machine make connection of automatic injection systems easier.

Serviceability.  Removable top and front panels with thoughtful up front positioning of components like drain valves limit downtime by giving owners or service personnel easy access.  A simple key access on the top lid provides security and quick access while some competing models require tools to perform the same task.

Built-in efficiency.  Though built on a tried and true platform, SC washers continue to evolve into better and better machines.  With precise and flexible programmable controls and an intelligent mechanical design water consumption can be kept below a gallon per pound of laundry and cycle times can be customized for maximum productivity while maintaining ease of use for operators.

Soft Mount Washer Extractors (SX models)

Soft mount washer extractors offer an alternative for specialized applications such as installation on suspended or unstable floors or where efficiency must be maximized.  These washer extractors do not require special foundations because of their shock and spring based suspension systems.  While they are priced higher than hard mounts, soft mount washers produce much higher G-Force extraction speeds which reduce water retention in laundry and therefore shorten dryer times for greater utility savings.  Both flexibility in installation and utility savings make Speed Queen soft mount washer extractors popular for many on-premise laundry applications.  Available sizes are 18, 25, 35, 55, 75, 100, 135 and 165 lb. capacity.

Superior suspension.  Heavy-duty suspension components absorb operational forces and out-of-balance load vibrations to produce smooth and quieter performance.  The suspension eliminates the need for special foundations - lowering installation costs.  18 through 55 lb SX models fit through 36" door openings for added replacement flexibility.

Stainless quality.  The rugged steel cabinet and top construction resists corrosion and rust.  SX machines come standard with fully programmable controls for maximum functionality whether it is in service in a full amenity resort or used as a wet clean unit in a dry cleaning plant.  The door with stainless steel frame and heavy hinge is designed and built with durability and the user in mind by not only being durable but also high off the floor for easier loading and unloading.

High spin speed.  Ideal for cotton or terry items, the SX's high G-Force extraction removes significantly more water than hard mount washer-extractors.  That means reduced dry times, increased productivity and lower gas bills.  Items to be ironed can go directly from the washer to the flatwork finisher.

Auto supply injection.  An automatic chemical supply system saves employees time, saves you supplies and ensures consistency in laundering linens.  The SX comes equipped with tubing and electrical connections for hook-up to central liquid supply systems.

Drying Tumblers (ST0 models)

50 and 75 lb. capacity single-pocket tumblers are often the sizes of choice for mid- to large-size on-premise laundries.  Additionally, 25, 30 and 35 lb. units are available for smaller laundry rooms, smaller loads or special applications.  And not limited to the coin laundry, Speed Queen also makes the stacked dryer available for on premise laundries which includes 2 pockets or baskets per unit in the sizes of 30 or 45 lb. each which doubles load capacity in essentially the same footprint.

Relatively new to the Speed Queen tumbler line-up is a 55 lb. capacity unit that employees the highly efficient "axial air flow" and fits through a standard 36" door; something the conventional 50 lb. tumbler could not do.  Providing more flexibility and using less gas and time to complete the same job, what more would you expect from the makers of the best equipment in the business?

Efficient design.  Efficiently drying laundry is a balance between heat, airflow and tumble action to use the fewest BTUs per pound of water removed.  Speed Queen tumblers strike a balance between these three variables through smart cabinet design that is built on 100 years of experience.

High-performance burners.  Burners ignite instantly, providing the desired temperature quickly and efficiently distributing even heat.  This means reducing drying times and energy savings.

Large lint compartments.  A fine mesh lint screen cleans itself automatically, depositing lint into a large storage area for easy removal.  The size of the compartment translates into emptying lint once a day versus three times a day - saving time.

C.A.R.E. System.  The Combustion Auto Response Equipped (C.A.R.E.) system scans for abnormally high temperatures in the cylinder.  If high temperature is detected, water is sprayed in the cylinder and a warning signal is activated.  This optional system is an excellent assurance against loss of life and property from fire.  We recommend it for any laundry room.

120 & 170 lb. Drying Tumblers (ST models)

Speed Queen 120 and 170 lb. capacity tumblers are the volume leaders and go-to tumblers for larger scale operations.  Their size and superior drying performance help laundries maximize throughput to meet their daily workload without the need for added shifts or costly overtime.

Large Capacity.  With cylinder capacities of 36.1 cu. ft. and 49.7 cu. ft. for the 120 and 170 lb. tumblers, both deliver the volume necessary to allow even large loads to tumble freely.  This encourages better air movement and speeds the drying process.

Reversing cylinder.  A reversing cylinder helps eliminate tangles of large items such as sheets and blankets.  This ensures pieces are dried evenly and workers can promptly remove loads at cycle completion.

High-performance heater box.  This special heat system uses radiant heat from the stove top to preheat intake air before it enters the combustion chamber.  The results are increased energy efficiency, faster drying times and a more comfortable operating environment.

Flatwork Finishers (UD models)

For on-premise laundries at hotels, party rental businesses and other sites demanding the highest quality finished results, flatwork finishers will deliver.  Speed Queen's heated roll finishers produce excellent final linen products while maintaining efficiency.  Models available with finished widths of 55" to 126" and including low maintenance features like sealed bearings and no-wax roller.

Small Chassis Machines

Speed Queen's commercial top load washers, front load washers, dryers, stacked dryers and stacked washer dryer units are built with heavy components and deliver quality results.  These units work well in unique applications where laundry volumes are light and space is tight, such as small veterinary clinics, fast food restaurants and salons.  Front load and top load washer options deliver excellent wash results and energy-saving spin speeds, while Speed Queen dryers offer large cylinders to produce fast and energy efficient drying.

The machine on the left is a washer dryer stack unit that features an Energy Star qualified 20 lb. capacity front load washer with oversized, a high-speed extraction of 305 G-force and all steel drive components (pulley, trunnion, shaft, tub, outer tub and bearings). 

On the right is a stacked dryer with 2 drying pockets available in gas or electric heat and designed to save space while doing twice the work of a regular side by side dryer.
